I started racing and trading sportscars and collector cars in 1957. My first cars driven were a right hand drive Singer and  I occasionally drove my brother’s MG-TC, Jaguar SS-1 and Indianapolis 1935 Miller.

From 1958 to 62 I sold new Alfa Romeos, Triumphs, Berkeleys, DKWs  Isettas and many obscure makes in Santa Monica and Westwood village for Flintridge Motors and Prestige Motorcars.

From 1962 to 1985, I became a sales manager and dealer in exotic cars. I have owned and/or raced Ferrari, Lotus, Lola, Maserati, Scarab, Cooper, Merlyn and March automobiles as well as dozens of other makes.

I've been an Appraiser of Automobiles and Motorcycles for over thirty years, as well as a successful accepted expert witness in valuation and loss, authenticity, carbon fiber damage and hidden assets. My strongest areas are sportscars, racecars, musclecars, European and American classics. I have never lost a case. Often, when a client has been lowballed by an adjuster from Farmers, State Farm, Allstate or others with "Stated Value" policies, using CCC or Mitchell software, I have either won outright or split the difference in the clients favor.

I've appraised cars as early as 1903 Cadillac, as Grand as a Duesenberg SJ and as exotic as a Ferrari F-40. I love my work.

*       Sometimes I wonder why I,  with a Leftie background, have had the clearance to drive the people that I have. I'm surprised but pleased that in the diversity in this Nation, that was possible.
My attitude in driving is that I could drive Roosevelt, Churchill, Hitler or Stalin, Batista or Castro, Manson or Saint Theresa with no other thought other than getting them safely to the assigned destination with absolutely no difference  or intervention of self.  I've often thought about Marge Piercy's book "Woman on the Edge of Time" and responsibility/irresponsibility and still turn the thoughts around, but only the great swells of humanity make real change. An individual should simply do their best with others and themself.

     *    A founding member of Vintage Auto Racing Association in 1973 and first editor of "Vintage Voice"

     *    As an expert witness in valuation and loss, I have testified and filed depositions in many cases involving Ferraris, Maseratis, Porsche, Cobra, Excaliber, DKW, Simca and dozens of modern and vintage automobiles. I know that I can't say this forever, but so far I have always been on the side that has prevailed.

     *    I have appraised hundreds of vehicles, automobiles, everyday street cars, antique brass cars, electrics, classics and exotics, racecars and motorcycles, for insurance, estates and settlements. My valuations have always been accepted.
